MUSEUM OF LONDON EXECUTIONS

POSTER DESIGN

I designed the poster for the Museum of London Executions exhibition, the design is styled around a broadsheet, with an etching visual, created to reflect the style of the time, and to focus on the human story behind the executed / the grand occasions that public executions were.

The exhibition was first intended to be shown in 2020, but was delayed. For the initial exhibition I created a poster design focusing on broadsheet headlines, to show the different human stories behind each execution.

This is a poster concept which I produced in the initial concept stages for the exhibition.

The idea being that the portraits are literally being ‘hanged’ from the wall to reflect hanging. Within the portraits, all of the peoples heads have been cropped off, to reflect beheadings as a form of execution.
